ITEM NO. B14EQH
Description
Similar to China of the same name, Matt Garstkas Equilibrium Hihat offers a unique balance between attack, sound, response and volume. Different areas of the pelvis were turned off to produce a particularly bright sound, while others remained unprocessed to increase the attack and bite. The dry character of the Equilibrium Hihat, however, is due to the sandblasting in other areas of the pool.
Six holes on the edge of the bell of the bottom basin give the hi-hat additional chick when played with the foot. This signature model by Matt Garstka offers a wide range of dynamics and can be used in a wide variety of situations: starting with a washy sound, through a short, crisp attack to an assertive chick.
“When I play an instrument, I want it to work in every situation. The Equilibrium Hihat fulfills exactly this requirement, which is why I will play it for many years. “-Matt Garstka
