Electro Acoustic Guitar Ibanez Altstar, Red Doom Burst ALT50FA

£264.99 Inc. Vat

Designed for electric players
The Altstar design focuses on making acoustic guitars approachable for electric players. A compact dreadnought body feels comfortable seated or standing, and the single cutaway allows easy access beyond the twelfth fret. The neck joins at the sixteenth fret, giving more room for lead lines and higher chord shapes. Combined with a 25.5 inch scale and tighter string spacing, the overall feel remains familiar, reducing fatigue and helping electric players settle in quickly. This thoughtful layout supports confidence during practice, recording, and early performances.

Comfortable modern playability
Playability is further enhanced by the Comfort Grip maple neck, which uses a gentle contour to sit naturally in the hand. Large frets make bends, slides, and quick phrasing feel smooth and controlled, especially for players used to electric setups. A Purpleheart fretboard contributes a clear, focused tone, keeping note definition strong across chords and single notes while maintaining a familiar response under the fingers. It balances comfort and clarity, helping new acoustic players develop technique in a natural and intuitive way.

Balanced acoustic tone
Tonally, the ALT50FA aims for balance and versatility rather than overpowering volume. A flamed maple art grain top over basswood keeps the response even, while sapele back and sides add warmth and a rounded midrange. This combination suits strumming and fingerstyle alike, making the guitar adaptable for songwriting, casual performance, and everyday practice across different styles. It remains controlled when amplified and avoids harsh peaks, which helps chords ring clearly at low volumes and unplugged practice sessions late at night.

Practical electronics and hardware
For live use, the Ibanez undersaddle pickup and AEQ-2T preamp provide simple, practical control. Bass and treble knobs allow quick adjustment on the fly, and the onboard tuner works even when unplugged. Reliable hardware, including Advantage bridge pins and stable die cast tuners, keeps tuning solid and maintenance straightforward. It is a dependable acoustic electric option for learning, rehearsing, and performing during home practice, lessons, and relaxed writing sessions or travel use overall value.

NS Design CRT Electric Upright Double Bass Guitar Includes Case USED! RKNCODE260425

£3,199.00
The "traditional" version of the NS double bass is set up to satisfy the needs of the experienced upright bassist. The standard 106 cm acoustic upright scale length is preserved to insure that fingering and string tension will be consistent with acoustic instruments. While the neck shape is traditional, the small body allows unrestricted access to the upper register of the fingerboard.
The bridge is raised to lift the strings above the fingerboard for action typical of the acoustic upright. Higher string tension and action make it possible to "dig in" like on an acoustic, with reserves of rich sound that can be eased back for a traditional tone, or brought forward for exciting new sounds.

The CR-T neck and body are made from select maple. The full scale fingerboard is graduated for consistent response from note to note, with adjustable relief and bridge height to suit all playing styles. Our Polar Bridge Pickup System combines great sound with directional sensitivity, for a rich and expressive response to arco and pizzicato technique.

An End Pin Stand is standard equipment with the CR-T series. The fully adjustable mono-pod design allows the player to set the instrument in a position like that of an acoustic double bass. The point where the end pin touches the floor can be easily adjusted so that the weight of the instrument is centred over the tip. This balances the instrument leaving both hands free for expressive play. The End Pin Stand Conversion Kit attaches to the optional CR Tripod Stand to hold the instrument upright for on-stand performance or when not in use.

Includes: Soft Bag Case and the SWAN custom made silver flight case pictured (wheeled and is designed to be pushed) . Optional Tripod stand that conveniently folds and is stored in the padded bag.

Ibanez AR400 Electric Guitar 1979 With Case USED! RKAR4110825

£1,799.00
With a lineage that dates back to the early 20th Century, Ibanez entered the guitar building fray in the 60s making copies of American designs before branching out into their own, quickly gaining attention of artists such as Bob Weir and John McLaughlin.

The Artist series was their first offering, launching them onto the world stage
The guitar is in great condition. The poly finish is durable and as such has survived well. The maple top looks really nice and the violin sunburst finish looks great. There's the usual light signs of use across the guitar, but nothing serious to detract from what is a very attractive instrument.
The three piece rock maple neck too is in great condition with plenty of life left in the original frets and no signs of wear to the ebony fretboard. The use of binding and abalone is very subtle and compliments the guitar.
The hardware has worn as you'd expect but shows no real signs of corrosion. The Gibraltar bridge and tailpiece show the most wear though this does not affect functionality.
Plastics are in good condition. Neck pickup surround has broken slightly but doesn't affect how it works. Knobs are correct but have cracked a little.
Electrically everything looks correct. The pickups are the correct Super 80 Humbuckers, and both sound excellent, with the "Tri-Sound" switches for each pickup allowing access to some really interesting tones.

Model: AR 400
Year: 1979
Finish: Violin Burst
Weight (kg): 4.48

Fingerboard: Ebony
Neck wood: Maple
Body wood: Mahogany / Maple Top
